Returnee exchange

Brief description : Continuation of the "Returnees' Exchange" cooperation project between the cities of Ebersbach-Neugersdorf and Zittau. Potential returnees who are in the region during the holidays can find out about specific job offers and career opportunities at local companies.

Target group : Those wishing to return to the area and future new residents; job changers and job seekers.

Lausitz-Lab - Co-working space and creative platform for living and working in Zittau

Project sponsor : Hirschfelde Power Plant Foundation
Project duration : October 1, 2021 (application: June 1, 2021) - February 28, 2022 (application: December 31, 2021)
Brief description : The aim of the project is to develop a study on the need for and requirements for a co-working space in the city of Zittau and an implementation concept for the planned realization of the project. The project is conceived as part of a network of creative hubs throughout Lusatia and in close coordination with the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, and contributes to securing and attracting skilled workers.

Young skilled workers for mechanical engineering in a structural change environment

Brief description : The aim is to train skilled workers with future prospects in the Lusatia region. To this end, the university's collaboration with companies will be taken to a new level. Within the framework of the project, the necessary conditions will be created and an initial cluster will be established, consisting of approximately 20 companies as well as other partners from the education sector and associations.
