Regional specialist alliance district of Görlitz
Security of skilled workers is one of the main focus of action in the Görlitz district. The regional specialist alliance, founded in 2016, supports new and sustainable projects for the extraction, binding and further education of specialists in the district of Görlitz. For this, an annual budget from the specialist is provided. The aim of the projects is to promote the district of Görlitz as an attractive and family -friendly region to live, learn, work and relax.
Due to the stronger marketing of its diverse facets, both regional and national perception should be improved. In this way, more people should be encouraged to stay in the region. At the same time, returnees, additions and international specialists for work and a life in the district are also to be won and promoted.

New project call at the earliest from mid -2025
The decision of the Saxon state parliament on the double budget 2025/2026 is expected by the SMWA in June 2025 at the earliest. As a result, budget assignments to the district of Görlitz can also be assumed in the second half of 2025. Until then, no new project call can be published. Project applications can continue to be submitted to the skilled worker alliance as part of an initiative application. However, a prioritization by the skilled worker alliance and a forwarding to the SAB will only take place after a new project call is published.

Measures to secure skilled workers in the district are funded, taking into account demographic, structural and economic framework of the region. This can be the following measures in particular:
- Protection of skilled workers under the conditions of digital change
- Improvement of work quality
- Specialist campaigns, events, public relations
- Information and sensitization of companies with a view to the generation of skilled workers
- Establishment of corporate/industry associations for securing skilled workers, skilled workers and strategic personnel development
- Cooperation between the university and economy to secure skilled workers
- Admission/accompaniment of foreign specialists and establishment of a welcome culture
- Work and training market integration
- Expansion of life -phase -oriented personnel work
- Studies on the need for action
These measures must be coordinated with the fields of action of the regional action concept.

Short description : The cities of Ebersbach-Neugersdorf and Zittau are leading a return exchange for the sixth time between the Christmas holidays and the turn of the year 2024/2025, which will be able to fill their positions and that a positive picture of the local labor market is shown.
